Make sure you disconnect the battery as you will be working around the air bag. When testing the mechanism before I put the door panel back on I reconnected the air bag before hooking up the battery. I read that if you do not do this you will trigger the airbag light and have to go to a dealer to get it reset. Whether or not that's true I don't know. The picture below is with the door panel off. The panel pulls off, except for the top which is hooked on. Start at the bottom, pulling off the panel, and pivot or swing it out, like a garage door opening. You then unhook it from the top by pulling it up after you've disconnected the door latch cable and arm rest electrical plug. I think it's best to have the window up before starting. It made it easy to get to everything.![]()
The white connector is for the door handle cable. The yellow and pink connector is for the airbag, which needs to be removed to get furher access to the guts of the door.

I've got the foam panel cover removed in this picture. I used a hairdrier to heat it up enough to soften up the glue that holds it on around the parimeter. It'll stay sticky enough to reattach later. The airbag and stereo speaker have been removed, and the motor from the window regulator. The new regulator is installed and the window is all the way down in this shot. It's pretty self expainitory at this point. The only adjustments I made were to where the regulator is mounted. I did not have to adjust the regulator stops on the track mechanism itself.

Window motor attached to the regulator.

The regulator I got had a stop installed in this spot that kept the window from going all the way down. Remove it if yours does also. I did not have to adjust the stops (grey piece above the tip of my finger).

Back side of door panel. The white circular things around the perimeter are the pieces that attach it to the door. The upper edge is the lip whereby the door panel hangs from the door frame.

This piece was a bitch to remove and I broke the uppermost tab.
